Christmas Pictures

The dreaded Christmas picture shoot. Neither Arnold or I am too crazy about taking pictures or ourselves, but we know it's important to have family pictures. Here are some of the highlights from the over 300 pictures my sister so kindly took of us on Sunday.

Reese with her cousin Mycol.

Reese with her cousin Riley.

We're afraid that Reese my start walking before she even starts crawling. She loves to stand and will stand like this, with me holding her hand for quite a while. Am I the only one that finds this freakishly abnormal for a 3 month old. The other day Arnold was holding her hands like this and she took a couple steps forward. I'm scared.

This pretty much sums up how Reese felt after all the picture taking. She fell sound asleep in the car on the way home.

Oh what a difference a month or so makes...

This week I took off the little sling in Reese's bath tub. She now just sits up in the bath tub. The bottom picture was the last bath she took with the sling. The top picture is Reese at about 5 or 6 weeks old. She's growing so fast.

Rolling Over

Last week Reese rolled over for the first time. It kind of happened accidentally while she was on her stomach playing; she lifted up with her right arm too far and flipped herself over. It scared her and she looked like she was going to cry, until I started clapping and getting excited then she started laughing. She only did it one more time that day and then again over the weekend with Arnold. But this morning we were playing and she flipped her self right over like she did it on purpose. Then she did it about 20 more times. It was a game. She would flip from her stomach to her back, I would flip her back on her stomach and she would flip again. Well, when I tried to get it on video of course she wouldn't do it. Oh well, we'll catch it eventually.

Reese's Blessing Day

Sunday, November 30, we blessed little Reese. Standing in the circle were both of Reese's Grandpa's, Uncle Brady, Uncle Steve, and Uncle Robert. It was a wonderful day with both Arnolds and my family. Reese wasn't very cooperative with pictures but I'm hoping to have some professional pictures taken with her in her dress.

Haning out with Uncle Brady (my brother) before church. We waited until the last minute to put on her dress.

The one good picture I was able to get.

Annual Nordfelt Family Gingerbread House Party!

Every year at Thanksgiving my family gets together to decorate Gingerbread Houses. We have such a good time. It's amazing how fun it is and how the adults get into it just as much as the kids. We seem to get more and more creative with each passing year.

Goodnight Grandma

Saturday, November 22, 2008 my sweet grandma Lola Kathleen Jardine Woolf passed away. She was the last of my grandparents here on this earth. She has now reunited with my grandpa who passed away last year. Her health had been failing for some time, so with heavy hearts we were happy to see her find eternal rest and peace.

I feel very blessed to have been able to make a trip a few weeks ago to say goodbye and introduce her to Reese before she passed away.

Some things that will forever remind me of my grandma...
Raspberries
German Chocolate Cake
Her secret recipe for Cinnamon Rolls
The Lawrence Welk Show :)
Wheel of Fortune
Garlic and Vaseline :)
Quilting
My many crocheted blankets and dollies
The smell of tea tree oil
Apple trees and bottled apples
Homemade donuts
Genealogy
Old tire swings
The smell of laundry dried on the line
and the list could go on....

In the words of one of my favorite songs about death..."Say goodnight, not goodbye"

Good Night Grandma. I love you!

Sunday Update

Reese loves it when I get down on the floor and play with her. Today we convinced Dad to join us. Reese was so excited!

I know I'm crazy but I put up our Christmas tree this weekend. I Love Love Love Christmas! This is the view from the floor. It's what Reese see's when she looks up at the tree. :)

Reese looking so cute in her argyle tights! So adorable :)

My good little sleeper.

Everyone keeps asking me if Reese is sleeping through the night yet. Well thats a hard question to answer. She will speep 8-10 hours straight a night for 5 days then go back to waking up for one middle of the night feeding for 2 or 3 days then sleep through the night for 4 days, then wake up for 1 night, then back to sleeping through the night etc, etc... I would say on avarage she is sleeping through the night at least 5 out of 7 days a week.

And honestly...I'll take it. She is such a good baby I have no complaints what so ever.

This is the happy face I get to see every morning. She wakes up and I can hear her in her room talking to herself, so I go in and as soon as she see's or hears me she starts smiling, and flapping her arms in excitement. Who can resist?!!

Girly Girl!

Yet another Sunday and another day to dress Reese up. I know, I know...I'm one of those mom's that loves to play dress up. Reese is just so cute though, and she seems to enjoy our little photo sessions. As you can see below, she's very happy.

I had to get a shot of Reese's personalized bloomers. Thanks Aunt Jen, Riley and Mycol.

I had to post this picture because this is how we see Reese 90% of the time...licking or sucking her hands. She's definately our little monkey.

Reese loves her hippo!

I love it when Reese snuggles with her hippo. I don't know why, but I think its just so adorable. And even better when they both snuggle with me :)

Rainy day's and Monday's...

I really do hate Monday’s and it's even worse when they're rainy. Today is one of those days. It's so dreary outside.

Last week was Reese 2 month doctor’s appointment. She is doing so well. She's in the 110th percentile for height. She's growing so fast. She's already wearing some of her 9-12 month clothes. The doctor says that's she very advanced for her age as far as her strength, alertness and responsiveness. She acts a lot more like a 3 or 4 month old. She also got her shot's. She was a tough girl and only cried a little. All in all she's very healthy and progressing well.

Although...she does have a bit of a cold. Today she had a small fever so I gave her some Tylenol and her hippo blankly and she fell asleep in her pink chair. It was so cute.

Sunday's

This was Reese's third Sunday of church and she is doing so good. She really is such a good little baby!

Reese and Mommy after church.

I got Reese ready for church and put her down while I was getting ready. I came back 20 minutes later to take some picutes and this is what I found. Reese passed out on the couch. She's so cute when she sleeps.
