Am I ready for mobility??

Now that Reese can roll both directions, she is unstoppable. Today she rolled from the living room to the kitchen. It was so funny watching her. She is quite determined. I'm inspired daily by her perseverance. Who knew a 4 1/2 month old could be inspirational.

Yummy Feet!

Here's the question I have...at what point in life does sucking on your feet go from being adorable to discusting? Just a thought.

Anyway, I've been trying to catch this on camera for the last 2 months. Those feet must taste pretty darn good! And I love that Reese can completely bend in half. Oh to be that flexible again!

New Toy!

I am continually in persut of finding new ways to entertain Reese during the day while I work. As she stays awake for longer periods of time, she requires a lot more attention. So, Reese may just be the most spoiled kid when it comes to toys and gadgets, and our houss is being overtaken by bright and colorful play things. She loves her new jumper gym though. She's ovewhelmed with things to suck, chew and pull on. :)

Uncooperative!

Just like her mom and dad, Reese can be very stubborn when she wants to be. I've decided that's a good thing. Although it may drive me crazy some times and make for some "interesting" times when she's a toddler and teenager; I attribute the majority of my success in life to my relentless drive to never give up. So...if Reese ends up with half my stubbornness, I think she'll go far. That being said, sometimes when I want to take her picture she can be very uncooperative and want nothing to do with it. However, pouty or not she's still pretty cute.

She's determined...

Reese rolled from her back to front today. It's official, she can now roll both ways; back to front, front to back. Watch out world, here she comes.

Tag

I'm not big into the tag thing, but this one seemed easy enough.

Open your my pictures folder, go to the third folder down and post the third picture in the folder. Well my third folder just had more folders in it, so I opened the third folder in that folder and posted the third picture.

It's my sister, me, my parents and my nieces Riley and Mycol at the University Mall 2005 Santa arrival event. This was back when I was the Marketing Director at University Mall. Good Times. So glad the Santa Arrival is now all yours Cindy!

New Years Resolution...only one!

I'm only setting one New Years Resolution this year...because it's a big one. To fit back into the $1000's of dollars of clothes that are currently boxed up in my garage and basement. I'm posting the pictures below for inspiration! I used to be a size 6/8 and then I met my husband who thinks brownies are a food group, fell in love and started cooking all kinds of yummy fatening food because we were in love and it didn't matter what I ate. Then we got married, I got pregnant etc...etc... etc... Now I'm not saying that Arnold is responsible for my weight gain. I take full responsability for giving in to the brownie food group diet.

Anyway, I'm sending out a plea to all my friends and family for support and encouragment. They say the best thing to do when you start a diet or life style change is to tell everyone you know so they can hold you responsible and give you encouragement. That's what I'm doing.

I'm hopeing by 2010 I will once again look and feel like I did in the pictures below. Quite frankly I don't care so much about the size. I just remember how good I felt, how much energy I had and how nice it was to wake up in the morning and be able to put anything in my closet on and feel good.

4 Months Old

This is a little late, but last Saturday Reese turned 4 months old. It's really hard to believe she's only been here 4 months. I can hardly imagine life with out her. A few fun facts about 4 month old Reese.

1. She is 26 1/2 inches long and weighs 16 pounds. She's in the 95% for both height and weight. Most of her cloths are a size 9/12 mo.

2. She loves, loves toys. She's had toys, well...sense she was born, and she's been grasping and holding them for some time now but all the sudden in the last couple weeks it seems she is toy crazy. She has her favorites and if you try taking them away, you better watch out! Her toys won't even be anywhere in sight and she starts to get fussy and grabby, I can't figure out what she wants and then I realize she is reaching for the drawer in the cabinet where her toys are. All I have to do is pull one out and she starts yelping in delight. (Picture below is her sleeping with her new dolly. It's quickly becoming a favorite.

3. She is at the stage where she wants to "help" hold her bottle while I feed her. I use the word help loosely. She usually hinders the process more than she helps, but it's still cute that she tries. Sooner than later she'll be a pro.

4. She is so happy all the time. I know I don't deserve such a good baby, I wasn't a very good baby myself, but Reese is such a good baby. She is always so happy. I'm guessing Heavenly Father knew I needed a good baby to work from home and take care of her. We were very blessed. I'm scared for the next one. I know I don't deserve two good babies. :)

5. Nicknames we have for Reese include: Reese's Pieces, Piecy, Reesy, Monkey, and Shautsee (I'm not sure on the spelling, but its grandpa Nordfelts nick name for Reese. Its German slang for "Little Treasure".)

Queen of the bed...just during the day!

Here's what I don't understand...Reese sleeps 12 hours every night in her own bed, but for her two naps during the day I can't get her to stay asleep more than 20 minutes unless she's in our bed. I totally love our bed and think it's the most comfortable bed in the world, so I can understand if she likes it. But why is her bed ok for night time, but not daytime? Crazy kid my little Reese. I guess I should just be greatful she doesn't want to sleep in our bed at night. But I do miss being able to make my bed.
