Christmas Morning

Santa came...and he did not disappoint!!

Anni was actually the first to wake up at 7 a.m...one hour earlier than normal. We finally woke Reese up at 7:45...we couldn't hold Anni back any longer.

Reese was so cute opening presents. Everything she opened...right down to the new tooth brush and underwear in her stocking...she was over the top excited. She would dramatically exclaim, "I love it so much!! It's totally my favorite thing ever!!"

She doesn't look all that thrilled in this picture...but they both love their new table. From playing "store" to having tea parties...it's been one of the best gifts ever!

Couldn't resist these little feet in their new little slippers!

Annual Christmas morning picture...this was the best I could get.

As usual, Christmas morning went way too fast!

Christmas Eve...really late...

My favorite part...

Unfortunately I can't put any presents out until Christmas Eve...I have two very sneaky girls. I love presents under the tree.

Christmas Eve!

One of the best parts of moving to Idaho has been sharing holidays with family. We haven't shared a Christmas with cousins or Grandma & Grandpa since Reese was 1 year old.

On Christmas Eve we headed over to Uncle Brady's for a big Christmas dinner and a special Christmas Eve Family Home Evening.

Family Nativity: Reese was Mary, Crew was Joseph, Kendi was an Angel.

Of course we unwrapped the traditional Christmas Eve PJ's. I was kind of excited this year, as I made the girls pj's. I loved how they turned out. They looked so cute in them!

Just a good time with daddy!

Santa delivered just in time...

My biggest wish for this Christmas was snow! And Santa delivered just in time. We woke up on Christmas Eve morning to snow snow snow!

So of course we went out to enjoy it. This happened to be the first time Anni had ever played in snow. Last year she was so little I never took her out. And the couple times it snowed earlier in the season, it didn't stay long enough for us to get Anni out. Reese usually goes out while Anni is napping.

She was beyond excited! And she looked pretty darn cute in her snow gear...if I do say so myself!

Anni...aka...Trouble

There are no words for how much I love this little munchkin, but she knows how to get in trouble better than anyone I know. If I tell her NO, she literally laughs in my face, give me a sneaky smile and just keeps doing what she's doing.

A few fun little updates on Anni:

She talks like crazy now...we rarely can get her to be quiet. But she's still pretty shy around strangers, so when I need a little peace and quiet I just take her out in public and suddenly there's silence.

She loves babies! I mean loves babies. You will rarely see her without one. She's usually rocking them, burping them, or trying to feed them her sippy's.

She has a unique talent of tormenting her big sister. She loves to chase her around or jump on her. what's that saying..."paybacks a ....". Luckily Reese is pretty good at just calling for help instead of pounding back...most the time anyway.

Anni had earned the nick name "queen of dirty looks". This kid has looks that can kill. If she doesn't like something you've said, done or if you've told her NO...watch out. You can't even describe it...you have to experience the looks to truly appreciate the level of talent. She far surpasses Reese or even me, when it comes to her emotional expressions.

She is growing like a weed...tall and skinny. She still wears a size 3 diaper and fits into her 0-6 month dress bloomers. Her hair is also growing and it has the cutest curls all in the back. She has a pretty awesome mullet, but I can't bring myself to cut off those curls.

She looks so innocent...doesn't she...

Her favorite no no during the holidays...dragging her chair over to the gingerbread house for a little nibble.

Update...

So I did a terrible job at recording our activity advent this year...honestly I was just impressed that we actually fulfilled all the activities. At the beginning of December I got a new calling; first counselor in the Primary Presidency. I was excited and thrilled for the calling, but with a new presidency right at the end of the year, and a million changes needing to be made, we have had our work cut out for us. It kind of made the holidays slightly more insane than they usually are. We've made it through though...well kind of...and I'm finally getting around to updating the blog.

A few miscellaneous items...

Couldn't resist taking the annual "artistic" shot of the Christmas Tree!

A couple of my favorite Christmas decorations....
This cute platter was from my friend Jules. I still really miss my Utah friends, especially during the holidays. I loved looking at this every day and thinking of them.

Just a fun addition to my decor this year.
