Bedtime...

...it's bitter sweet. I look forward to it every night; finally some quiet time to myself. But this face is hard to say goodnight to.

...today.

Stats & facts:
  • 12.5 lb.s
  • 24.5 in.
  • Sleeps - 10 -12 hours a night
  • only eats about 20 oz. a day...not enough in my opinion, but she's healthy and growing, so the doctors say not to worry so much...but I'm a worrier.
  • smiles all the time
  • is slowly finding her voice. She's not as loud and talkative as Reese was at this age, but she's getting there.
  • loves her play mat and toys.
  • has mastered the art of grabbing things, especially my hair.
  • loves attention. She would love it if I'd hold her all day.
  • has hair that just keeps getting lighter and thinner. She was born with so much dark hair, but it has thinned out quite a bit and has gotten a lot lighter.
  • has blue eyes that melt her mommy's heart!

We finally figured out that Anniston has a milk intolerance as well some other dietary intolerance's, so we've weaned her off of breast milk and onto a hypoallergenic formula. She is so much happier, and so am I. Now I'm trying to figure out how to dry up my 40-45 oz. of daily milk without it killing me.

Random silliness!

We picked up this dog hat at Target the other day in the dollar section. It has provided hours of silly fun for Reese. She loves to put it on and entertain Anniston as well.

Play Time

Anniston loves playing on her play mat. It doesn't matter if it's tummy time or on her back, she will play forever and be perfectly happy.

First sister bath time...

Reese has been begging to take a bath with Anniston, so we finally let it happen. Reese had a blast and Anniston could hardly take her eyes' off Reese the entire time. It was so cute watching Reese show Anniston how to play.

Funny faces!

If there's one thing these girls are good at it's making funny faces!

When Reese saw the first two pictures of herself she said, "I so funny mom!" Anniston is learning from the best.

Blessing Day

Today we blessed little Anniston. She woke up this morning all smiles and even a little giggly. She was scheduled to eat a little after the actual blessing so I was worried she would be fussy and start crying when Arnold took her up to the stand. But I didn't need to worry, she was as happy as could be...until it was time to take some pictures. Luckily we managed to get a couple good ones of the rest of us. However Reese's patience ran out pretty quick.

I couldn't resist posting this picture. I love Reese's face of total annoyance. Is she my daughter or what??!!

Or this face...She's thinking..."hummm I'm sure there's something better I could be doing!"

Anniston with Grandma and Grandpa Nordfelt. They came down for the weekend to visit. Reese is already in mourning that they've left. At bath time when I was sitting and playing with her she said, "mommy grandma more fun play in bath tub. Her come home to Reesy and play."

Funny Reese

Since our trip to Disney World last fall we've been receiving all kinds of "junk" mail from Disney; credit card aps, vacation package options etc... They're all packaged with pictures of Mickey, Minnie and all their friends. Reese loves getting all this mail. She carries it around for days and treasures it as personal mail between her and Mickey. The other day we got yet another letter with Mickey on the envelope. I was carrying in the mail and drop the letter. Reese saw it and came running. She picked it up and excitedly proclaimed, "Mom, mom, Mickey sent me another package (that's what she calls letters). Reesy and Mickey best friends."

The other night I was putting Reese to bed and we were reading a book about Jesus....

Mom: Reesy did you know that Jesus is our brother?

Reese: I don't like brothers, only sisters. Jesus can be my sister.

I was sitting in the living room feeding Anniston, when I noticed that Reese was dragging one of the bar stools into the kitchen...

Mom: Reese what are you doing?

Reese: Nothing.

Mom: It looks like you're doing something.

Reese: Then don't look mommy.
