Saturday we decided to take Reese on her first road trip. We drove the Nebo Loop to enjoy the fall leaves. It was really beautiful. We stoped at Payson Lake for a little pick-nick. Reese of course slept for most the trip. But it was fun be out of the house and enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Gotta Love the Digital Age...
I think my new hobby is taking pictures of my little Reese. I'm addicted and can't stop. All I can say is thank goodness for the digital age or I would be slowly working my way through our savings on film and developement.
I want to thank everyone for your thoughful comments and encouraging words. I appologize that I haven't had much time to contact everyone individually. Reese and I are slowly workingour way to a schedule and I'm learning to balance my time a little better. I hope to get back to everyone very soon! In the mean time...isn't she so adorable??? I can't get enough of her.

Our Little Piece of Heaven!
Well, after 30 hours of labor and one scary c-section that I had to be completely put under for, our little Reese has arrived. I didn't get to meet her until several hours after she was born. Neither one of us were doing so well after our long ordeal, but have made amazing progress in the last day. Reese is already out of the NICU and I have had all the many tubes I was sporting taken out of me. Both of us are now off oxygen and doing great. Below is a picture, more will come later. I know I'm a little bias but I think she's the cutes little girl ever. She was 8 lbs 10 oz. and 19 inches long. We are both very tired and are so glad we have such a great dad and husband who has taken amazing care of us over the last few days...well really nine months. We won't be coming home from the hospital until Sunday, but sense I'm still having a hard time moving that’s probably a good thing. Thanks to everyone for your love and support!
P.S. Her full name is Reese Celeste Thiebaud and she was born on September 10th at 10:45 p.m.

Miserabelly
For those of you wondering, no we haven't had the baby yet. But it's not for lack of trying every possible way to self induce labor :) I had several friends worn me that the last 2-3 weeks are complete torture and I didn't realize how right they would be. Just when you think it can't get any worse...oh...it does. I will spare all of you the details of some of my latest new symptoms or "Reese's torture devices" as I call them but one I will share, just because it's so odd and I never knew it was something that could happen, is itchiness. Now when I say itchiness, I mean my entire body itches from my head to my toes and not just a little. I mean, I want to rip the skin from every square inch of my body, itchiness! It got so bad Sunday morning...well middle of the night...that we called the hospital and they had me go to labor and delivery to be checked out. (This was my third trip to labor and deliver in the last 2 weeks...all stories for another time.) After and hour or so of monitoring the baby and making sure she was ok, they sent me home with the instructions to take an antihistamine (did nothing) and see my doctor first thing Monday morning. So for the last 24 hours or so, I’ve just lived in complete agony.
When my belly first started showing several months ago, Arnold came up with the nickname "belly" for me. He's called me that throughout the pregnancy. So while I was laying in the hospital bed on Sunday morning in complete agony he decided that my new nickname is "miserabelly". He's so supportive and helpful :) Just kidding he really has been. Through every ache and pain he has been nothing but compassionate and loving.
