Sundance
This year was the 5th anniversary of the Re-opening of Sundance Outdoor Theater! Arnold and I have been lucky enough to go all but one of the years (I was sick last year). I love Sundace! It holds so many memories for me, stemming all the way back to my childhood. I was so glad we got to go one last time before we move! This year's play is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was a great production!
I hope, when our girls get a little older, we have the chance to bring them back to Utah to experience this awesome tradition!
Swim Lesson's
Reese just wrapped up her summer swim lesson's! She did awesome and is as fearless as ever when it comes to the water. She really loved her sweet teacher Amy and had so much fun. We wish we could have signed up for more, but we're hoping we can find another great teacher in Rexburg!
I took my nice camera to the last day of lesson's, in hope of getting some great pictures. Unfortunately when I got it out to start shooting, I realized I'd left the card at home...sad!! So I had to settle for these not so high quality pictures form my phone.
Look at my little fish go!
Reese's favorite part of lesson's was always jumping off the diving board. I wish I had been able to get a mid-air shot. She was so cute!

Change...
...we have a love hate relationship; it both excites and terrifies me.
A few weeks ago I told Arnold that I felt like my life was in a rut. I felt like I needed some change...a shake up. It's the military brat that will forever live inside me. I get anxious and board easily. I long for change; even if it's a simple rearrangement of my furniture or a new paint color on the walls. Well this time I got a lot more than a trip to Sherman Williams. Yesterday, Arnold got a call from BYU Idaho and they offered him a new job as the Manager for the Creative Services Department. So it looks like instead of moving my couch to the other side of the living room, I'll be moving it all the way to Rexburg Idaho.
After a day of celebration and gratitude for many prayers answered...and I am incredibly grateful, excited and happy...I've now settled into stress mode. So much to do, so little time. Arnold will start his new job the middle of August. Luckily we can stay with my parents until we find a home. We can also leave all our stuff here until that time, and we are lucky that BYUI will arrange and pay for our move. I don't even have to pack all our stuff...huge sigh of relief!! But for some reason I'm still having to remind myself to breath...in...out...in...out...in...out!
Like I said...Love...Hate...Love...Hate!

SICK!!
It turns out we brought a little friend home with us from Idaho...the Hand, Foot & Mouth bug. Reese suffered first with a high fever, then the blisters appeared on her throat and mouth. Luckily this little bug is a more mild version of the full blown Hand, Foot and Mouth. She never got any blisters on her hands or feet. After two days Reese was back to feeling normal, unfortunately the doctor gave her a 7 day "house arrest" sentence.
Now it's Anni's turn...poor little thing! She's just cried and wanted to snuggle all day.
"Enough with the pictures mom...can't you see I'm miserable here!!!"

Tanglewood of Fire 2012
It's become a tradition in our neighborhood to hold our own little "Tanglewood of Fire" for the 4th of July. This was our 4th year and it was a hit, as always. I don't know why but there's just something fun about doing your own fireworks. I like the "big" shows, but we always seem to have more fun when we do our own. They may not be as grand...but they're more memorable.
I wish this photo had been in focus...these two little best friends are about as cute as can be. If we ever move, we may just have to sneak Rowan into the moving truck. I don't know if they could live without each other. Even after a couple days in Idaho Reese said to me, "mom I really like Idaho...but when I get to see Rowan again? I really really need to play with her and tell her all the fun I having."
Anni had a great time roaming the streets.
Reese's annual sparkler shot.
"Sorry mom...mine friends are calling...I gotta go!"
"Let's get this show started!!"
Rowan wasn't a fan of the "loud" ones!
Reese and her glow whistle.
Justin showed us what happens when you put a bunch of fireworks in a plastic bucket and light them all at the same time....plastic disintegration in mere seconds.
Reese conducting the fireworks with her whistle.
Reese and Rowan...dancing to the fireworks.
We even had several aerial fireworks...they were pretty cool!
Cleaning up the aftermath! Thanks to all the daddy's for a spectacular show!! Honestly I think they may have had more fun than the kids.

IDAHO
We haven't been to Idaho in a couple years, for various reasons...but we thought it was about time. Especially since my brother recently moved there as well. We had such a great time, we almost didn't want to come home...
Day #1
We headed up on Sunday, and went out to Uncle Brady's and Aunt Erika's new house for a BBQ! When Anni walked in the door, the first thing she saw was Aunt Taylor's little doggy "Mo". She walked right up to him and said, "ruff, ruff". Up until this point I had no idea she could say "ruff ruff", or that she knew what sound a dog made. It was pretty cute. She followed poor little Mo around all night tormenting playing with him.
The stare down...
We also go to roast marshmallows in the fire pit. This was Anni's first camp fire.
Cowboy Crew...showing us all how it's done!
Day #2
Rexburg has grown and changed so much in the last few years. We had to go check out the new splash park, right by the carousel in the City Park. It was so awesome. The girls had so much fun!
In between splashing...we took a small break and Grandma treated everyone to a Carousel ride!
(Reese & Kennedy)
Anni was a little upset that she couldn't take her bag of chips on the ride.
(Erika & Sydney)
(Crew)
Later that night we headed back out to Uncle Brady's for another BBQ and more play time in their awesome back yard.
Daddy taught Reese how to fly her first kite. She was a pro!
Uncle Brady taught her how to use a blow dart gun.
These two cute cousin's spent a lot of time rolling around in the grass.
And these two little cousins, mere weeks apart in age, had a great little chat...even though neither one of them can "really" talk.
These girls all love their grandma!!
We also had a fun "movie" night. Reese was so excited that she got to stay up past dark.
This was our magnificent veiw of the moon as the sun was setting. There is nothing quite like an Idaho summer evening! Laying on the grass with the smell of crisp country air...it's almost healing.
Day #3
No trip to Idaho is complete with out a canoe ride with Grandpa...so we had to visit the lake.
(Reese, Kennedy & Grandpa)
Off they go! Don't fall out!
Anni played on the beach all day. She seemed to like the sand a little better than she did in San Diego.
She and daddy sharing a treat while they dryed off. Cookie, then BBQ chip...cookie...then BBQ chip...Yum!
Day #4...Independence Day!!
We started out the days festivities at the Rexburg 4th of July parade!
Cousin's excited for the parade!
Reese and Anni didn't last very long. It was their first parade and I think they may take after their mom when it comes to parades...not very big fans. They took over Grandma's chair in the shade.
After the parade and lunch, we headed home for some naps...in preparation for a late night of fireworks in Idaho Falls.
Every year Melaleuca puts on the biggest firework show in downtown Idaho Falls. It's the largest firework show west of the Mississippi. Reese was so excited that she got to stay up late to watch the show. Grandma was nice enough to stay home with the babies, so we could all go.
Erika's sister Taylor and Rachel were also in town, so we had a blast hanging out at the park while we waited for the big show. Aunt Rachel brought so many fun things for the kids to play with.
The bubbles were a big hit!
Uncle Brady helping Levi with the bubble gun.
Aunt Rachel and Crew.
This is what Granpa did to pass the time...he was nice enough to go down early in the day to save our spot.
The kids having fun with all the "glow" stuff that Aunt Rachel brought for everyone.
None of my pictures of the fireworks really turned out...but it was an awesome show. We didn't get home until almost midnight. Reese crashed in the car, but had the time of her life.
We had the greatest time in Idaho and can't wait to visit again soon! Thanks Grandpa, Grandma, Brady, Erika, Crew, Kennedy, Sydney, and all of Erika's family that shared our good time. We Love you all!
